Guide to Minting Your Women Tribe NFT
We realize that for many of our community members, the Women Tribe mint will be the first NFT they ever mint! Minting can be confusing and we want to make the experience just a bit less stressful, so here is a quick step-by-step guide on how to mint on our Women Tribe Website.
On February 15 at 9 AM PT, an announcement will be posted in Discord announcing the start of our presale mint. If you are a confirmed presale participant, you will then be able to mint up to 3 Women Tribe NFTs at any time between February 15 9 AM PT through February 19 at 8:59 AM PT.
You have almost four full days to mint, and each person who has received a presale spot is guaranteed up to three NFTs minted. So, you can pick when you want to mint, depending on when the gas prices are lowest. However, our contract is optimized for low gas, so we expect the cost for gas fees to be low anyways!
On February 19 at 9 AM PT, we will open up the public sale for Women Tribe NFTs. This means that anyone can mint up to 3 Women Tribe NFTs from our website, who did not already mint in the Presale period.
Step-by-step minting instructions for Presale:
1.Go to our website (womentribe.art) and connect your wallet using the “Connect Wallet” button. After you click that button, you will see a pop-up from Metamask that will ask you to confirm connecting your wallet to the website. If you are minting in the Presale, please make sure you connect the wallet which you provided to us as your Presale wallet address.
2. If you are approved to mint in the presale, you will be able to then choose the quantity of Women Tribe NFTs that you want to purchase, up to 3. After you choose the quantity, click “Mint” to initiate the transaction.
3. After you click mint, you will see another pop-up from Metamask where you will see the total cost of the transaction. Each NFT will cost 0.04 ETH + gas fees. The contract is optimized for lower gas fees than traditional mints. You can mint all 3 in one transaction, or you can do separate transactions, if you prefer. However, if you do separate transactions (i.e. one transaction for 1 NFT and one transaction for 2 NFTs), you will need to pay gas fees twice and you are still limited to 3 total NFTs per wallet.
4. Click confirm in the MetaMask window to accept the transaction fees and process the mint. You will see a success notification if the mint is successful or an error message if the transaction fails.
5. If your transaction was successful, congrats! You are now the proud owner of a Women Tribe NFT (or a few!). You will be able to see the pre-revealed graphic in your profile on Opensea.
Some FAQs we expect:
- Can I buy on Opensea if I am unable to mint?
Yes, but as soon as we launch the presale (or even earlier!), we expect there to be scam collections popping up on Opensea. Please only use the official Opensea link that we share in Discord to buy any Women Tribe NFTs on Opensea.
2. Can I use other wallets besides MetaMask?
The technology is built to support multiple wallets, but we recommend using MetaMask to be certain.
3. Why does the gas fee sometimes show an absurd amount (like $20,000)?
This generally happens when you don’t have enough ETH in your MetaMask wallet. MetaMask displays an absurdly high amount and its meant to deter you from confirming a transaction that will likely fail because you don’t have enough funds to cover the gas fees. The contract is optimized for low gas, so you should not experience any high gas fees
4. Why do all of the images look the same on Opensea?
When the mint first happens, all the graphics will show the same throughout the presale and for a short period after the public sale. We will have a super fun reveal party when we reveal all the artwork at the same time! That way, everyone can be surprised by who was lucky enough to mint the 1/1 rares (although, they’re all rare and unique!).
5. How many NFTs are being withheld from the mint for the team and giveaways?
There will be 286 reserved from the mint that will be distributed to the team, to the Treasury Wallet, and to a few lucky community members who won free NFTs in the pre-launch period!
6. How are the 10 rare 1/1 NFTs distributed?
The rare NFTs will be randomly distributed throughout the 10,000. Each person has an equal chance of minting a rare 1/1, so we’re super excited to see who ends up with one!
