Women Tribe’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month 1:1 NFT
It is critical to help educate the world on how to make an impact in fighting back through education and awareness, as well as, raise funds for research into its cause, prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and cure. Breast cancer is the most common cancer in women worldwide. According to the Center for Disease Control, 1 in 8 women in the United States will develop breast cancer within their lifetime. No matter who you are or where you live, breast cancer may touch your life in some way. It is important that we prioritize and normalize conversations around breast cancer awareness, warning signs, and treatment.
The Women Tribe team is honored to be able to help in the ongoing effort to bring more awareness to such an important cause by launching a very special 1:1 NFT! This gorgeous piece, created by the amazing artist of Women Tribe, Izzy, will be released in honor of this year’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month — running from Sunday, October 1st, to Monday, October 31st.
The Women Tribe community voted on which nonprofit organization the team donates to and Susan G. Komen was selected to receive 75 percent of the proceeds from this NFT. Susan G. Komen is a breast cancer organization, in the United States, that focuses on patient navigation and advocacy. They provide resources for breast cancer patients to understand the American medical system and have also funded research into the causes and treatment of breast cancer.
It is important to continue to educate and bring light to this devastating disease. Awareness is critical and together we can help spread the word to help empower and educate all people to take an active role in their health and wellbeing.
October 13th is Metastatic Breast Cancer Awareness Day. Metastatic means that what began as a case of early-stage breast cancer has spread to other organs outside of the breasts and is now considered to be a stage 4 cancer. Women Tribe is dropping the Breast Cancer Awareness piece on this day specifically, to help share awareness of the importance of early detection.
This special NFT will be listed on Foundation and will be available to bid on for 24 hours following the initial bid. Every bidder will receive an edition of a special 1:1 piece by Izzy. Additionally, all bidders will be entered into a raffle and have a chance to win a Women Tribe IRL butterfly pin.
